Can You Handle Conversational Hypnosis?

Conversational HypnosisThe term “conversational hypnosis” has always brought up a somewhat negative connotation to me, images of sleazy salesmen and slick advertising trying to persuade you to do something you didn’t want to do. I couldn’t be more wrong!

The “trance” state is not like the traditional hypnosis sessions you would expect. In fact, it’s just like having a regular conversation with someone - only you control the conversation.

I first became aware of it as a self development tool in the book “Choose To Believe“. In it, Alan Tutt explains how conversational hypnosis was first started to help therapy patients with their problems. It’s a great problem solving technique because it allows the person to open up their mind and see solutions that were “closed” to them before.

I had the opportunity of learning what it really is when I purchased the Conversational Hypnosis package.

This has been called the most comprehensive hypnosis package available and I can see why! The package is large - 12 audio recordings you can burn to CDs, plus the whole 600+ page manual. What’s nice is that the sales page has each audio broken down to exactly what is covered.

There are a lot of little steps or techniques to learn. Then they are all weaved together and put into stories that are entertaining as well as entrancing. For each technique, he introduces the concept and gives a brief history of it. He then gives an example and explains how to do it yourself. Most sessions end with exercises for you to practice.

Some of the things covered are:

  • language patterns
  • tonality
  • body language
  • personal trigger words
  • using stories

It will surely become an important piece of work and I urge you to read it when you can give it your full attention. It’s only 29 pages, so it won’t take much out of your busy, important day. (Or is it? - something you may think about after reading this report)

Here’s a short list of topics covered:

Choose To Believe - A Book Review

Choose To Believe Book Review

Don’t let the title dissuade you!

Choose To Believe
by Alan Tutt

If I saw this book in a bookstore, I probably wouldn’t even pick it up - assuming by the title that it is a book about religious faith. The colors tend to throw you off, too.

By the way, I am not the only one to think that. I asked several friends and family and they all came to the same conclusion.

I was wrong. Although religious beliefs are covered in the book, it’s actually about our everyday beliefs and how they have shaped our life as it is today.

More importantly, this book provides practical ways to change the beliefs that aren’t working for you.

Through a series of self-examination questions about the various types of beliefs, you are actually able to discover what your basic beliefs are. He then takes you through a process for getting to the core belief.

Of course, it won’t do you any good to just read the book without going through the exercises. I found some of it to be very eye-opening, although intuitively, I knew the answers - I just chose to avoid or ignore them.

After all of that, he gives you specific steps on how to improve various parts of your life, such as Increasing Prosperity and Improving Relationships. He also has case studies or real-life examples of people that were able to be helped by applying these methods.

There’s even a great section of web resources to explore at the end.

I love how he provides quite a large selection of tools and techniques for changing your beliefs so that you can live a more empowered life.

Ask yourself: Are your current beliefs working for you? Are you getting all you can out of life?

If not, this book can help you discover the right path for you.

Choose To Believe

Enjoy!
